We have all been saddened to see the pain and suffering as America wrestles with issues of racism. This is something that has had a great impact on us at Building Bridges. Being a person with special needs intersects in a powerful way with race and brings with it unique risks and challenges. The implications of race are amplified for individuals with communication challenges or behavioral issues. Click here for our complete statement on racial equality and special needs.
Children and families continue to face many challenges as a result of pandemic. Many are dealing with lingering anxiety and adapting to changes and the unknown. Our team is available for new clients for remote therapy (covered by most insurance plans). At this time, we are offering both in-person and telehealth counseling services.
