Rooted in connection, engagement, and relationship building, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services are built on the foundation of the science of behavior and learning.
This science provides us the tools to better understand how to support your child. Using ABA, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) identify how your child learns best. With a team of Direct Line Therapists (DLTs), the BCBA applies that knowledge to help them learn new skills (language, social skills, leisure skills), to improve attention, focus, and engagement.
Simply stated, the Building Bridges approach to ABA:
THE BUILDING BRIDGES DIFFERENCE
What makes our program special?
At Building Bridges, our ABA program uses an assent-based and neurodiversity-affirming approach centering on respecting the autonomy and preferences of individuals, especially those with neurodivergent traits. This helps us prioritize collaboration by actively seeking the person’s assent—ensuring they have a voice in decisions about their therapy and are empowered to express their needs. Additionally, a neurodiversity-affirming mindset recognizes and values the inherent diversity of the brain, focusing on strengths and individuality, supporting the person in a way that aligns with their unique needs and identity. By combining these two approaches, we create a therapeutic environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and engaged, leading to more effective, empowering, and sustainable outcomes in therapy.
YOUR CHILD IS AT THE CENTER OF EVERYTHING.
At BBTC, we recognize and value the inherent worth and dignity of all humans, and support neurodiversity in all we do. Our goal is always to work through new learning with children—not leading or pushing them. We listen to your child and structure therapy and activities around his or her unique preferences and wants.
COLLABORATION IS KEY!
Our multidisciplinary team works together to address the unique needs of each child and their family. Each discipline (OT, SLP, PT and Psychology) offers insight to behavior/treatment plans, to optimize the effectiveness of therapy sessions. We are also happy to work closely with your child's school.
YOU are a vital part of the treatment team! We work alongside you to best support your child, in a way that aligns with your family values. Caregiver collaboration and support provides you with the knowledge and skills to actively participate and benefit from your child's therapy.
ASD DOES NOT END AT AGE 6.
Building Bridges is not only an early childhood center. We recognize that needs and the value of therapy may continue regardless of a child’s age, and are here to support your child and your family.
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING.
Our program offers options for center-based and in-home sessions that include: morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend sessions.
OUR COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE compels us to provide a neuro-affirming environment for our clients and staff and to follow a values-based approach to treatment (family values and client values).
STAFF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
We are dedicated to continuous improvement and invest in staff training and development to stay current with best practice.
Currently, this is evident in our therapies by our focus on:
WE HAVE FUN!
We love what we do, and work to empower your child to learn, have a voice, and have fun while doing it!

ABA services require specific scheduling, based on the needs of each child. There may be service times that are full and have a wait list. Our front office staff will guide you through the appropriate steps to get your family introduced to our ABA program and other services where appropriate. When it is time for your child to formally enroll in ABA, our staff will provide you with the information and a link to our Parent Portal to set you on the following path:
Your first step is completing the registration process in our Parent Portal. This provides us with the information we need to get your child set up in our system, request pre-authorization from your insurance, and prepare for services.
One of our ABA Department Co-Directors will meet with you to collect more detailed information about your primary goals and priorities for therapy. Based on this information, we will select a BCBA from our team who will be the best match for your family.
Your child’s ABA services will be provided under the supervision of a licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Your BCBA will work closely with you, discuss your child’s treatment plan, and review the roles and responsibilities of each member of the treatment team.
Direct Line Therapists (DLTs) will work one-on-one with your child to implement the treatment plan, under the supervision of the BCBA.
Your child’s plan is dynamic, with changes made as your child progresses and grows. As your child makes progress, your BCBA will meet with you and the team to review updates.
